Flight makes an emergency landing as passengers needed a 'bathroom break'

Delta flight 253 was bound for Seattle from NY but had to divert to Billings, Montana after the toilets stopped working.

Cabin crew could have taken the "parent on a road trip" route, which would involve making sure everybody went to the bathroom before taking off cause it's six hours to Seattle and we aren't stopping.

There were several "passengers that needed to find a lavatory very urgently", the report stated.

According to Billings Gazette flight landed at Billings Logan International Airport at 6 pm on Saturday.

The Billings Gazette quoted an official with the Billings airport as saying that there was no gate available so the Boeing 757 taxied to a cargo area, where a stairway was rolled to the plane for relieved passengers.

Chiefs suspend Marcus Peters for Sunday's game against the Raiders
It would not be the first time in Reid's coaching career that has he has occasionally turned over playcalling to a coordinator. The Chiefs played that game without cornerback Steven Nelson, who missed the first seven games with a core muscle injury.

Kevin Ploehn, the Billings director of aviation and transit, said passengers were escorted into the terminal where they could go to the bathroom and wait while the plane's toilets were serviced. The plane's toilets were fixed in the meantime, and the plane was refueled so that it could take off again.

The plane was flying near the Canadian border when it was diverted hundreds of miles south and eventually landed in Billings.

Though flight being diverted to the Billings airport is not unusual, but the reason, in this case, is certainly not normal.

"I've heard of flights getting diverted, not here, because toilets overflowed and that blue water was rolling down the aisle", Ploehn said.
