Scott McLean, whose Twitter handle indicates he's an Oregon State fan, found - and tweeted - two similar messages sent by Taggart during his final days at Western Kentucky and USF.

According to Andrew Greif of The Oregonian, FSU would be amenable to that idea and are expected to offer him the position. Taggart is reportedly being wooed by Florida State as a possible replacement for the outgoing Jimbo Fisher, but on Saturday night he tweeted, "Looking forward to a great day tomorrow with our team".

On Wednesday, the University of OR offered a new contract to Taggart who is in consideration by Florida State as a possible candidate.

With the Florida State job suddenly open, all eyes have turned toward first-year OR coach and Florida native Willie Taggart. On Dec. 7, Taggart was announced as OR coach.

A source confirmed to The Oregonian/OregonLive that UO's deal to Taggart would be worth just more than $20 million over five years, including incentives. "Fisher earned $5.7 million this season, according to USA Today's coaching salary database".

A former assistant to MI coach Jim Harbaugh when Harbaugh was at Stanford, Taggart spent four years at South Florida after three years as the head coach at Western Kentucky.
