Michael Owen makes Real Madrid revelation about striker's deal

Benzema has scored nearly 200 goals across all competitions for Real Madrid.

But he has struggled this season with just one goal in nine appearances.

With the Los Blancos facing the task of overturning an eight point deficit between themselves and Barcelona, it is imperative that Benzema finds his domestic form as quickly as possible.

'I've got a lot to thank him for, ' Owen told Canal+. The Frenchman, though he has been consistently overshadowed by Cristiano Ronaldo and then Gareth Bale, has been one of Europe's most prolific and consistent strikers for the last decade.

"I have no problems with any player in the France team, there are some that I come across and it's always good to see them, I'm not a disrupter, I have a public image that isn't good".

"It's hard, especially in Spain, where sometimes you don't understand it", he admitted.

Rain chances this week
The high temperature will be in the mid 40s and northeast winds will be light, according to the National Weather Service . Partly cloudy skies stick around throughout much of the day as temperatures only climb into the mid-upper 40's for highs.

However, despite averaging a goal every two games during his stint with the European champions, Benzema is regularly subjected to heavy criticism from fans and pundits alike.

A pair of FIFA Club World Cups are also in the trophy cabinet. Of course, I want to, don't be silly. "But, personally, I think what is external to football you have to leave out".

"The pressure to succeed with your country is something else, I hope my situation can change".

The France worldwide was in high demand after impressing at Lyon and ended up joining Real Madrid in a £35.2 million deal. "I'm a football player, you're my manager, I respect you, respect me as a player". It's been more than two and a half years, it doesn't take much to understand what is going on.

"It felt that he thought they were amusing and the truth is that if he was someone that I respected, then in that moment I lost my cool".
