Free Content On The Way For Middle-earth: Shadow of War

The new mode sounds to be a replica of Gears of War's Horde stylings. In it, you "defend your fortresses against Sauron's forces as the Dark Lord tries to reclaim Mordor in the Endless Siege".

The next wave of DLCs won't hit until December, with the Online Fight Pits, Brutal Difficulty, and Outlaw Tribe Nemesis Expansion.

Warner Bros. has announced some of the free content coming to Middle-earth: Shadow of War from next week, starting with a trio of DLC available gratis.

Rebellion - Crush the rebel Ologs and Uruks in your forces as they seek to undermine the Bright Lord. The Enhanced Photo Mode also releases on 21 November and adds new filters, frames and textures.

Here's the thing though - allowing players to simply buy a reward other players have worked for completely devalues that reward. In the statement, EA said, "Creating a fair and fun game experience is of critical importance to EA".

Alongside the aforementioned, the Slaughter Tribe content, part of the Season Pass, will release.

Those 3 will be joined by the first of 3 Expansion Pass content, which you can purchase now or with the $99.99 Middle-earth: Shadow of War Gold Edition. Online Fight Pits will arrive on December 5th that allow players to challenge another player's Orc follower, in Overlord vs. Overlord battles.

Warner also posted a tweet which indicates that more free updates are being planned for 2018 and it also includes a timeline for the paid-for DLC. Winning these battles will net players powerful rewards and upgrades.

Brutal Difficulty - A new higher difficulty level that provides a greater challenge than Nemesis. Players will be engrossed in a richer, more personal and expansive world full of epic heroes and villains, iconic locations, original enemy types, even more personalities and a new cast of characters with untold stories. They haven't announced anything yet, but say that there will be announcements for more free stuff in the future. Those will be followed up early next year by two story expansions.
