Family confirm death of young Irish woman in France

The body of a young Irish woman reported missing from her home in France has been found after what appears to have been a freak accident.

Her family and friends had mounted a search for her via social media since she went missing while jogging last Wednesday.

Noonan was last seen on Wednesday afternoon in Annonay were she had gone shopping.

Her death is not being treated as suspicious with a government official saying it is believed she fell into water and drowned following a fall while out running.

Local authorities say that Ms. Noonan appeared to have died after a fall while out for a run.

We know when Tyson Fury will return to the ring
Tyson Fury is back in the gym as he looks to make his dream return to the ring against Anthony Joshua a reality. Fury hasn't returned to the ring since his victory over Klitschko in Germany in November 2015.

The Department of Foreign Affairs are liaising with French authorities to repatriate Eimear's remains to Ireland in the coming days.

Ms Noonan's brother Cathal confirmed her death in a Facebook post on Sunday night.

Eimear Noonan, who hails from Caher, Killanena in Clare, was last seen on Wednesday in the town on Annonay, approximately 75km south of Lyon, where she was working as a teaching assistant in a primary school.

However, and tragically, the body of the UCC graduate and Feakle native was found after Eimear sustained a fall while out running in the French countryside. We would like to thank the Irish and French authorities and the people of Annonay for the kindness and compassion they have shown us.
