Destiny 2 Expansion - Details on 'Curse of Osiris' Revealed in Stream

During the reveal though, it was left murky if Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris would get a brand new raid of its own, in addition to the new raid lair for the Leviathan which is already in the game.

Bungie took to Twitch earlier this morning for a big Destiny 2 Curse of Osiris DLC reveal.

"We're learning from and listening to all the feedback we got on Destiny 1, and we're applying it", Ward noted. There's also a look at a hand cannon players can obtain through a post-Curse of Osiris campaign quest.

We see Osiris in the expansion as a Middle Eastern man dressed in Eqypt inspired clothing, and he has a female ghost named Sagira. Today, Bungie is focused on creating new experiences and adventures for the Destiny 2 community to share. For the uninitiated, Osiris is Ikora's mentor as well as the namesake for the Trials of Osiris Crucible event.

Speaking to IGN ahead of the Destiny 2 launch, senior narrative lead Jason Harris and cinematic lead Matthew Ward waxed lyrical about the sheer amount of story spread throughout Destiny 2. We only really knew Osiris from grimoire cards and the Trials of Osiris, but his knowledge of the Vex will make him a leader for guardians during the Vex crisis. Inside the Infinite Forest are "trees" which are really giant monuments that will allows us to see different times, future and past.

The Vault of Glass has been a fixture in the lore of the Vex since the game first launched, as it's some sort of Vex stronghold where they apparently study time.

The expansion, Curse of Osiris, is just around the corner and what is better than getting some fresh AND live content. The Raid Lair will still take place on the Leviathan, but it will not play out as the original raid. It features new encounters and locations, and an all new boss at the end. The team also promised that there will be a Prestige mode for this Raid Lair. The Raid Lair will be shorter than the original raid which may be useful for those who can not spend consecutive hours playing.

Curse of Osiris will be available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC December 6th!
