Carrie Underwood breaks wrist and cancels concert

On Sunday, Underwood took to social media to thank fans for their well wishes.

After her fall, her concert at the Country Rising benefit concert at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville was canceled according to the publication, The Tennessean.

The singer, who co-hosted the CMA Awards Wednesday with Brad Paisley, tweeted Sunday thanking her followers for all the well wishes.

Furthermore, her representative stated that her husband, Mike Fisher, 37, was able to drive back to her town that night so he could stay by her side while she recovered in the hospital.

That means the 24-year-old Marquez can assure he clinches another MotoGP title if he finishes in 11th place or better. The role of spoiler goes to Andrea Dovizioso , an Italian who trails Marquez by 21 points.

"I've seen her perform countless times but this one may be my favorite all time", Fisher wrote.

And now Carrie Underwood is currently recuperating after being hospitalized for a broken wrist after a fall on the steps outside her home. "I'll be alright...might just take some time...glad I've got the best hubby in the world..."

A statement from an Underwood spokesperson said the singer has been treated and released from a hospital for a broken wrist, cuts and abrasions, the paper says. "This has been a year marked by tragedy, impacting countless lives, including so many in our country family", Underwood said in part.

The devout Christian couple tied the knot in 2010 at The Ritz-Carlton Lodge in Georgia.
