Selena to be honored on Hollywood Walk of Fame

On Nov. 3, a day to become known as Selena Day in Los Angeles, Selena Quintanilla will officially become the 2,622 star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

"Since day one of Selena's selection into the Walk of Fame, not a day went by that we were not asked by fans when Selena would get her star". Mayor Eric Garcetti and actress Eva Longoria are expected to speak at the unveiling, joined by Selena's family. The Internet began buzzing with talk yesterday that Selena is indeed finally getting a star on the Walk of Fame in Los Angeles after the news was announced in 2016.

The accusations were brought by a 38-year-old woman who asked not to be identified for privacy reasons, according to the Times . Weinstein has been fired by the film company he founded with his brother Bob and expelled from Hollywood's movie academy.

For the friends and family of the late Queen of Tejano music, "The wait is over!" Her celebrity seems to have transcended time, because she's continued to grow into an iconic symbol of pop culture both inside and outside of the Latinx community. Twenty-two years after her tragic death, the Tejano queen's legacy is still strong and finally being recognized in a major way by the entertainment industry. The entertainer, who is scheduled to be posthumously honored during a ceremony on November 3, will be receiving the 2,622nd star on the monumental walkway of celebrities, according to Billboard.

She rose to stardom in the traditionally male-dominated Tejano music industry and achieved crossover fame after her death with the release of her English language CD "Dreaming of You". Suzette Quntanilla, Selena's sister, will be there to accept the honor.
