Odell Beckham Jr. Carted Off Field, Likely Out For Season

The New York Giants announced Monday that star receiver Odell Beckham Jr. will have surgery this week to fix his fractured ankle suffered in Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

The Giants did not say that Beckham will miss the rest of the season, but that seems likely given the severity of the injury and the extended recovery and rehab time that is coming Beckham's way. Fellow wideout Dwayne Harris, who is also the team's primary kick returner, was also placed on IR with a fractured fifth metatarsal that will be surgically repaired on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Brandon Marshall and Sterling Shepard both sprained their ankles.

Beckham was carted off the field a few plays before the Los Angeles Chargers scored a TD. Beckham has 25 receptions for 302 yards and three touchdowns on the season. The Giants added Tavarres King and Travis Rudolph to replace Beckham and Harris on the active roster.

McAdoo was also asked if bringing in Victor Cruz, who was cut by the Bears before the season, was an option.

It is possible their top receiver in next week's Sunday night primetime matchup against the Broncos in Denver could be Roger Lewis Jr. - a second-year player undrafted out of Bowling Green.
