IOS 11.0.2 Starts Rolling Out

Apple has now officially released iOS 11.0.2, which fixes the iPhone 8's crackling audio issue that was discovered last week. Apple also released the ios 11.0.1 a week ago but the users still reported issues with the battery percentage and Bluetooth audio routing. It wasn't too bothersome, as The Verge notes, but still pretty annoying. Again, even on affected iPhones, the earpiece seemed to work normally in most circumstances.

The update also addresses two other issues - one that could cause some photos on the device to become hidden and the other was an email bug, the report adds.

According to analytics firm Mixpiexle, iOS 11 is installed on 39.73 per cent devices, which though is slower than the adoption rate of iOS 10, but way faster than Android updates.

The cause for the crackling issue of earpiece was not clear, however, it was speculated to be a software problem. The latest firmware update brings the fix for the iPhone 8 crackling earpiece issue. If no such sounds appear, then good. Another thing taken care of with the new iPhone update is the attachments in the encrypted e-mails.

Flipkart to Take on Amazon With Festive Dhamaka Days Sale Starting Tomorrow
Amazon Sale offer on other iPhones: Price of the Apple iPhone 7 starts at Rs 39,999 under the Great Indian Festival Sale. There is also a 10 per cent cashback discount for customers making purchases using CITI bank credit or debit card cards.

It never felt like a hardware issue to begin with. Hopefully, this isn't another iPhone 4 "antennagate" situation.

Apple has yet to reveal official installation figures, or confirm sales of its iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, which came out on 22nd September. The iPhone X will make it to shelves on November 3.

This was an issue that would not have been spotted by iFixit when they subjected the iPhone 8 to their trademark product tear-down video. The update is 285MB is size, though it could be higher if you've not updated to the 11.0.1 update earlier on.

So, it's always safe and sound to be patient, for the customers.
