Cleveland Browns Name Kevin Hogan Starting QB

Rookie DeShone Kizer has been replaced as Cleveland's quarterback by backup Kevin Hogan, who will be the 28th different starter for the Browns since 1999.

The 21-year-old Kizer, a second-round pick out of Notre Dame, went 0-5 as a starter and was last in the National Football League with a 49.5 passer rating, completing 81 of 159 passes for 851 yards with three touchdowns and nine interceptions. He has worked extremely hard and still very much has a bright future.

Following a news report , Swaraj took to Twitter and said,"Evangelin - Your country Russian Federation is our time-tested friend". When the matter reached to the External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj , she assured the youth for the help.

Hogan will make his first start of the season on Sunday against the Houston Texans. "I don't play this game to sit on the bench. When I came out here and got drafted here, my ultimate goal was to be the starting quarterback for every opportunity that I could and I came a little short of that this week and I'm going to do whatever I can to get right back on the path that I was on". Kizer fumbled inside NY territory on a third-and-goal play from the 3-yard line during the first quarter, then threw a gut-wrenching interception in the second quarter on the Jets' 4-yard line. His numbers: 81-of-159 (50.9 percent), three touchdowns, nine interceptions and 12 sacks.

He threw a pair of touchdown passes after the Browns had been shut out in the first half, but his lone interception on a 16-of-19 day set up the Jets for an easy TD. The Browns signed him to the practice squad when the Chiefs released him after 2016 preseason, then promoted him to the active roster in October.
