Las Vegas shooting: Stephen Paddock transferred $100000 overseas in days before attack
Paddock , 64, killed at least 58 people and injured 527 others Sunday night in the deadliest mass shooting in modern US history. Those seeking to know the motive of Las Vegas gunman Stephen Paddock have had little more to chase than hints and shadows.

She went on to receive the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award for vocal music, and was also awarded Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan (posthumously) by the Indian Government. She is regarded as one of the most veteran and revered Ghazal singers in India and has thus been given the monicker, of Mallika-e-Ghazal. She breathed her last on 30th October 1974, leaving many fans disappointed and heart broken. Akhtar developed a liking for the music at a very tender age and was sent to train under Sarangi exponent Ustad Imdad Khan in Bihar's Patna. She gave her first musical performance at the age of 15 years. But in the end, she returned to classical music where she composed many of her own melodies and started her career in the rhythm of ghazals. However, it was after famous poet Sarojini Naidu appreciated her singing during a concert, which was organised to aid the 1934 Nepal-Bihar natural disaster victims, that she was encouraged to continue singing ghazals with more zeal and enthusiasm. Among the notable films she worked in include Mumtaz Beghum (1934), Jawaani Ka Nasha (1935), Raaj Haan's King for a Day (1933) and Satyajit Ray's Jalsaghar (1958).

During her last concert in Ahmedabad, she raised the pitch of her voice as she felt that her singing had not been as good as she had wanted it to be and she felt unwell. The situation became critical and she had to be rushed to the hospital.

She was buried at "Pasanda Bagh" in Thakurganj area of Lucknow.
