Square Enix Reveals New Survival Shooter IP 'Left Alive'

A new trailer teases the concept for the game.

Square Enix describes the game as a "brand-new survival action shooter" set in a "dark and gritty world".

Given that we have three days to go until more info drops, I do have to say that this game does seem quite interesting.

Square Enix is keeping their cards close to their vest at this point. No, this isn't a new Metal Gear, but it sure could be from the look of things.

WWI Soldiers May Have Been Found in North Sea
Historic England revealed the images to mark the centenary of Germany's declaration of unrestricted submarine warfare on Britain. Belgium's North Sea minister said he would investigate whether the wreck might be recognized as a heritage site.

For those keeping count at home, that means that Square Enix has brought in ringers from studios like Konami and From Software to work on this already compelling title.

Left Alive doesn't have any more information apart from this but it will be exclusive to the PS4 and releasing sometime in 2018 for Japan.

The trailer, the company says, teases the concept for the game. It's pretty hard to ignore that distinctive Yoji Shinkawa art and character designs so far, and the involvement of Toshifumi Nabeshima and Takayuki Yanase.

Square Enix announces Left Alive today during Sony's PlayStation press conference at the Tokyo Game Show, in development for a 2018 release on both PlayStation 4 and PC platforms.
