South Korea Will Develop 'Frankenmissiles' To Build Up Defences

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and South Korean President Moon Jae In agreed on Thursday to closely coordinate for new, tougher sanctions against North Korea, during talks in the far-eastern Russian port city of Vladivostok.

China's UN Ambassador Liu Jieyi cut short a visit with other council envoys to the African Union headquarters in Addis Ababa to return to NY and take part in negotiations on the draft text.

Han Tae Song, Ambassador to the United Nations in Geneva, confirmed that North Korea, officially known as the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), had successfully conducted its sixth and largest nuclear bomb test on Sunday.

Following last weekend's nuclear test, Trump said he was considering cutting off USA trade links with any country that does business with North Korea, whose main economic partner is China.

The deployment follows a spate of recent North Korean ballistic missile and nuclear tests, and increasingly heated rhetoric between Kim and US President Donald Trump.

State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert insisted the strategy of applying diplomatic pressure on North Korea, while slow going, is effective. The rhetoric has intensified in recent months as the rogue Communist nation has repeatedly conducted bomb tests and missile launches in violation of global agreements, reveals a report in Joseph Farah's G2 Bulletin. Officials stressed the government's stance that the additional launchers are a "tentative" measure resulting from the urgent threat posed by North Korea. "I believe that President Xi agrees with me 100%", Trump said from the White House's South Lawn as he prepared to board Marine One.

"Russia and Japan have made considerable progress over the past year, which we had been unable to make over the past 70 years", he said.

U.S. President Donald Trump has urged China to do more to rein in its neighbor, which has pursued its weapons programs in defiance of United Nations sanctions and worldwide condemnation.

"Our commitment among the allies are ironclad", Mattis said. "We had a very, very frank and very strong phone call".

"In case the US eventually does rig up the illegal and unlawful "resolution" on harsher sanctions, the DPRK shall make absolutely sure that the United Stats pays due price", it added.

"Nuclear activity in North Korea is a grave risk for peace and global security and represents a growing threat for the region, as well as key allies of Mexico such as Japan and South Korea", the Mexican government said.

Merkel said that she backed sanctions as a means of bringing North Korea to the negotiating table.

Mr Putin expressed concern that cutting off oil supplies would hurt regular North Koreans, the official said.

He said that only a united council can provide the pressure needed to enable successful negotiations to take place to denuclearise the Korean Peninsula.

While Putin reiterated Moscow's opposition to new sanctions against North Korea, he told reporters he had assured South Korean President Moon Jae-in that Moscow condemns North Korea's nuclear test and thinks it "flagrantly violates" global law.
