PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds new patch adds a new town and fog

For a long time, even with PUBG increasing in popularity, it looked like KotK's player count was remaining solid.

While it may not be coming any time soon, developer Bluehole did offer an update as to when more testing will occur. Besides being one of the most popular games on Steam, PUBG will launch on concoles first on Xbox One, and has a new gun on the way. Users on Reddit have confirmed that it's a coastal settlement called Kameshki.

Finally, we're also getting a new weapon today in the Mini-14, a semi-automatic 5.56 marksman rifle which you can see above. It also takes any type of optic sight and is created to have, "lower damage stats than other DMR's, which is compensated by very high muzzle velocity and low bullet drop".

"The developers also addressed the problem that idle players can still earn currency saying they have, "...implemented rules that will not allow idle players to earn BPs". According to its post, the system needs to be able to dynamically detect and analyze the tens of thousands of objects in the game the can be vaulted over or climbed. "The algorithm is quite complex and requires rigorous testing and fine-tuning of the map".

Crystal Palace appoint Roy Hodgson as their new manager
They are yet to win a game this season or score a goal and have placed their faith in experienced former England boss Hodgson. Roy Hodgson has been appointed the new manager of Crystal Palace , the English Premier League club announced Tuesday.

The full patch notes can be found here if you're interested.

All of this despite the fact that Battlegrounds recently courted controversy over its problematic loot crate system, which despite pushing all the profits from to tournaments and charities, the develo0per, Bluehole, did say would not take place until the game was officially released.

Aside from the foggy weather, the upcoming patch will also include plenty of bugfixes and performance tweaks as the game's team continues to work on PUBG while it's still in early access.
