Outrage over ending the dreamers program

"We are here to fight for the 800,000 dreamers, including the 130,000 Asian-American Pacific Islander dreamers who were brought to this country as children through no fault of their own", Representative Judy Chu, chair of the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus that hosted the news conference, saidTuesday.

The 31-year-old San Jose resident was skeptical.

The program provided a legal status for recipients, including participation in Social Security, for almost 800,000 immigrants who were brought to the United States illegally as children.

While the president's conservative base felt betrayed, Arias did not feel relieved.

It would also place "responsible limits" on permanent residency for refugees and prioritize immigration for those who are "best positioned to succeed in the United States". Would it even happen?

The NBA's Top Pick Has Been Traded
Others think that he’ll continue to use the picks himself and construct a young core that can emerge after the Cavaliers vs. Fultz is an ideal scoring guard to run alongside him, and can also take over point guard duties if the Simmons experiment fails.

DACA, an Obama-era program created in 2012, offered protection to those who entered the country illegally as minors on a renewable two-year basis. As President Harry Truman once said, "The buck stops here". Pelosi said she is committed to helping the immigrants at risk and resolutely opposed to construction of a wall, but indicated openness to border security measures of some kind. And no American president was ever going to round up people who'd grown up here and deport them to places they knew little or nothing about.

Maine Attorney General Janet Mills is challenging President Trump's rollback of deportation protections for young undocumented immigrants, saying that sending people back to war-torn countries "is a threat to justice itself" and would harm the Maine economy. Chuck Schumer announcing what they called a deal to save DACA in exchange for increased border security, according to the Associated Press. The lawsuits say the Trump administration ended it without proper procedures and that Trump did it because he is biased against Mexicans.

Cinthia Osorio, who lives in Morris County, said she's content to hear that lawmakers are trying to come up with a solution to help "DACAmented" immigrants, but said she's anxious about what type of border security will be attached. Immigration advocates say that's about 154,000 people nationwide. "It's frustrating more than anything". His goal is to one day direct food and wine service for a hotel chain. They can then legally live and work in the U.S.as long as they stay out of legal trouble and have their DACA status renewed periodically. But Trump denied it and reiterated that "the wall" was essential to any movement on immigration.

"Subject to getting massive border control, we're working on a plan for Daca".

After months and years in limbo, Arias said the intrigue on Wednesday and Thursday seemed like just more of the same. It's more a matter of whether it will even come up for a vote, if politicians decide to put politics ahead of the lives of 800,000 people.
