Nike Unveils NBA Statement Uniforms

Nike unveiled the new uni's in grand fashion as they invited one player from each team to model their respective cities.

- The Minnesota Timberwolves teamed up with Nike to create new Statement Edition uniforms, the two announced Friday. However, they're of course all Nike branded now, and some include subtle changes beyond that. Then, in one big reveal they all unveiled the NBA's newest alternates.

While the new program can bring added value to a jersey purchase for fans, the value for Nike is much more tangible. Players will also reportedly have the ability to release messages only to those who have bought their jersey, rather than broadcasting something on social media.

The company has truly pushed the envelope by syncing the jerseys to an app called NikeConnect.

The jerseys will be available online globally on September 29.
