'It' sequel floats your way in 2019

'It' sequel floats your way in 2019

It's affirmed by the end credits which feature the title "It" with the phrase "Chapter One" written underneath. "Fans of Stephen King's seminal horror novel know there's much, much more to the story, and director Andy Muschietti has already expressed interest in completing the Losers" journey.

The standout star of the film, by far, is the terrifying Bill Skarsgård as Pennywise the Dancing Clown.

But he won't be facing kids again. Not necessarily a sequel, but rather a continuation of the story of the Losers Club, after they first defeat Pennywise and go on to become adults. Seeing the kids via flashbacks would be interesting, though.

Praises should also be given to director Andy Muschietti.

All of them provide the heart of the film and the actors across the board are fantastic, with Jack Dylan Grazer stealing the scene every time he pops up on screen.

"We don't know really anything yet, but yes, that'd be incredible".

"My older brother Gustaf, who's an actor as well, he had this ability to do, you know, point his lip in a very unusual way and for some reason, I don't know how, I understood that I could do it as well".

Muschietti also revealed one plot point that would deviate from the novel. "My idea of Mike in the second movie is quite darker from the book". I could understand how the old Pennywise might be able to reel kids in with a somewhat normal-looking clown appearance, but the new Pennywise is so ugly and repulsive I wouldnt touch him with a 100-foot pole. They also added that it is nearly certain that the second chapter will have a significantly higher budget, since New Line Cinema was previously strict about it for the first movie.

And here's a big spoiler: Stan Uris (played by Wyatt Oleff in the first film) will have a reduced screen role. His choice in shots gives the film a unique horror experience, taking typical horror movie cliches and changing them to be his own. Brought to life by Tim Curry in the 1990 version of It, the clown has inspired many horrifying clowns following it, like the one in American Horror Story. Once they link the city's biggest catastrophes to one person, it is up to them to get rid of the local menace.

"We're lucky enough to get the most immediate feedback you can ask for when we do our job as clowns, and that's the looks on people's faces".
