Gennady Golovkin: I feel 25, I can maybe fight until 40

Gennady Golovkin: I feel 25, I can maybe fight until 40

When Mexican boxing sensation Saul "Canelo" Alvarez steps into the ring on September 16, he will be facing off against undefeated middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin, a fighter who does nothing but go forward with heavy pressure and power.

All but four of Golovkin's wins have come by knockout, but Canelo - whose only defeat in 51 previous professional appearances came against Floyd Mayweather Jr - is no stranger to stopping his opponents early.

However, that will depend on the progress of the undercard and everything else running smoothly: the most recent pay-per-view event in Las Vegas, featuring McGregor and Mayweather, saw the fight delayed due to problems with the online streaming of the action.

"I want to win this fight because maybe for me this win will be like a history fight, like Leonard vs. Hagler". Canelo, is a very special guy.

Canelo also hopes that Golovkin brings the fight to him on fight night, and is readily prepared to counter whatever offense the unsafe Kazakh fighter has. We know that in fights, it takes two to tango. In this case, the two best at middleweight just happen to be two of the most popular fighters in the entire sport.

"This fight's for you; this fight's for all the fans who have been asking for it".

The WBA, WBC, IBF and The Ring belts will be put on the line this Saturday night at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

"Right now, I think new stories, new times for us".

Golovkin added: "I'm old school and I like it when there is just one champion". Everything's good. My family and my team support me.
