'Stranger Things' is already headed for a third season

Stranger Things' first season was groundbreaking so it's no surprise that the show was one of Netflix's most watched offerings.

This strongly suggests that the members of the Hawkins A.V. Club might end up on the road and explore other mysterious places.

See the children battle the monsters in small-town America when "Stranger Things" season 2 streams on Friday, Oct. 27 on Netflix.

"We just have to keep adjusting the story", Matt added.

In the meantime, catch Stranger Things season two when it premieres on Netflix on October 27. It featured excellent, well thought out characters, a story where you never quite got the handle on what was going on, excellent pacing with no unnecessary episodes or bloating and an 80s nostalgia kick which delighted many. Ross Duffer went on to state that "We're thinking it will be a four-season thing and then out". The Brothers also jested that they would struggle to "justify something bad happening to them [the characters] once a year", and that "they're going to have to get the f**k out of this town!"

Along with working on the show, the Duffer brothers are also tinkering with a sci-fi film that they said will be very different from Stranger Things but is still a ways off.

Furthermore, Ross Duffer provides a possibly revelatory comment on the bigger picture regarding the siblings" season 2 approach when he mused "I told Matt, "I don't want to call it season two, I just want it to feel like a movie sequel.' If you have a successful movie, No. 2 is always a little bit bigger". "And no more kids on bikes".

The show was recently nominated for 18 Primetime Emmy Awards, including a nomination for Outstanding Drama Series.
