Samsung Galaxy Note 9: under-display fingerprint sensor

No problemo! Thanks to fans over at tech community SamsungVN, we have a selection of what is said to be all of the Note 8's official wallpapers. And by the way, this is the camera in the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 dual, for trend.

For now, however, this is our best look at the Note 8 yet. The upcoming flagship smartphone is expected to take the market by storm with its innovative and impressive features such as a new OLED edge-to-edge display. After these wallpapers come out, all the people who are interested in buying the Galaxy Note 8 would try to use the wallpaper on their phone, it actually increases the "talking about the device" between the users. Below that is a Samsung logo, followed by a lot of blur where specific device information (IMEI, etc.) is likely shown. So, it appears we will have to wait for the Note 9 before the Korean firms adds fingerprint sensors beneath a phone's display. This may be because of the fiasco the Galaxy Note7 created after the devices exploded. We expect to see a 2960 x 1440p Super AMOLED display with that incredibly thin bezel from the dual curved display. A recent leak of the Note 8 clearly shows both the sides of the device along with the S-Pen. We can also make out the volume rocker and presumably the dedicated Bixby button in the above photo. One will be the standard model with 6GB+64GB storage and the other will be the premium model with 6GB+128GB storage.

According to new reports, the Samsung Galaxy S9 will still feature a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, however, Samsung aims to have an in-screen scanner working by the time it releases the Galaxy Note 9.

The one downside to including a phone case in the box is that third-party case manufacturers might have a harder time netting add-on sales for the Note 8. The first and main 12MP sensor will have an aperture size of f/1.7 and the second unit of 12MP will have an aperture size of f/2.4. The smartphone is expected to be priced at €1000 in Europe.
