PCB chairman in Sri Lanka to attend ACC meeting

The Pakistan Cricket Board has abruptly revoked No-Objection Certificates given to 13 players now in England and the West Indies and has asked them to return home to fulfill national and domestic commitments.

The new development can be read alongside the running feud between the two cricket boards over the resumption of bilateral series.

The country has since been largely starved of global cricket, apart from a short visit by Zimbabwe in 2015.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has recalled all its cricketers now involved in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL), as well as the County Championship in England, as it gears up to organise a home series between the national side and an ICC World XI in mid-September. It is worth mentioning that NA-120 by-election after judicial ouster of ex-PM Nawaz Sharif has resulted into rescheduling of World XI visit which still awaits final clearance. The matches are expected to be held in Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.

The NBA's Top Pick Has Been Traded
Others think that he’ll continue to use the picks himself and construct a young core that can emerge after the Cavaliers vs. Fultz is an ideal scoring guard to run alongside him, and can also take over point guard duties if the Simmons experiment fails.

Miandad, on the other hand, also urged the newly-appointed PCB chairman Najam Sethi to hire former or first-class cricketers as presidents of associations and zones in order to improve the game in the country.

Pakistan are scheduled to play two tests, three one-dayers and two Twenty20 internationals against Sri Lanka in September-October, with the series likely to be held in the UAE.

Pakistan are also set to travel to the UAE from September 21 for a full series against Sri Lanka.

Players either in Caribbean Premier League (CPL) or English country have been recalled to fulfill their domestic commitments. "It can't be held after September 17 because there is no time to both hold the series and also give National Coach Mickey Arthur time for training the team before the series starts with Sri Lanka on September 24", the release added.
