Expect a cloudy, hot and humid Sunday

Friday's temperatures across the west will be in the upper 70s to low 80s, with the Grand Junction area seeing upper 80s. Scattered storms remain possible through next weekend. Main threats will be damaging winds (60+ mph) and hail (quarter size or larger).

Scattered storms will continue to trek across New Mexico through tonight before dissipating by Sunday morning. Storms will gradually diminish once we reach sunset Sunday evening. Upper 80s and 90s return as we start the work (and school) week.

The week ahead will offer lower rain and storm chances just about every day, but the chance gets lower as the week goes along. The heavier and more extensive rain areas will move east tomorrow night with some rain lingering overnight. The coverage of storms Sunday afternoon should again be on the lower end, and looks like they will be mostly limited to areas south of I-85.
