49ers LB Donavin Newsom taken to hospital after scary collision with teammate

49ers linebacker Donavin Newsom was taken to the hospital after a collision during Tuesday's practice, according to multiple reports.

The 6-foot-2, 240-pound Newsom, who led Missouri with 73 tackles last season, was hauled away by paramedics after crashing into safety Chanceller James. Beathard when they ran into each other and Newsom fell to the ground.

Practice stopped and most of the team dropped to a knee in prayer.

Newsom after the hit laid motionless on the field while it appeared his body froze up.

But the £25 million number seems very low and all reports agree that Arsenal remain unwilling to sell even with the Ox's contract expiring this season.

Newsom will remain hospitalized overnight. It was an injury that required the linebacker to be taken off the practice field on a stretcher and transported to Stanford Medical Center via an ambulance.

"The encouraging part that I can say, his eyes were open", Shanahan said.

"Yeah, I've seen it a number of times", Shanahan said. We're praying for the best.

Originally an undrafted free agent in the Class of 2017, Newsom played his college football at Missouri. He, obviously, will not practice on Wednesday and is unlikely to be available for the team's preseason matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium on Friday.
