2 police personnel dead after helicopter crashes near Charlottesville,Virginia rally

White nationalists clashed with counter-protesters before police moved in and dispersed the crowd at a demonstration in downtown Charlottesville, Virginia. Virginia State Police said Saturday that the helicopter crashed in a wooded area near a home around 5 p.m.

"We need to make certain that this is the kind of thing that we don't tolerate or abide by, and I think most people, most Americans who are watching what is taking place in Charlottesville today, are probably appalled by what is taking place there today, just as they are concerned about what is taking place in North Korea", said Blackburn.

After rally attendees and protesters dispersed, a auto rammed into a group of people Saturday afternoon. The comment and Trump's refusal to directly name white supremacist groups for inciting violence in Charlottesville-where a person drove a vehicle into a crowd of people injuring 19 people and killing one person-has resulted in a wave of criticism from all sides regarding his inability to stand up to racist white hate groups.

The Associated Press confirmed that the driver has been arrested.

State police tweeted that some in the crowd were using pepper spray.

"It has been going on for a long time in our country, not Donald Trump, not Barack Obama". Violence also broke out at that march.

Many were quick to criticize the president for failing to denounce the "Unite the Right" rally held by white nationalists on Friday in response to a plan to remove a statue of Confederate general Robert E. Lee from a park in Charlottesville.

Virginia Senator Mark R Warner said Virginians mourn the life taken in this morning's events and reject this hateful violence in Charlottesville.

"We urge every leader at every level of government to be firm that in the year 2017 there is no place in America for the display of violence we see in Charlottesville".

Dutchman Haase tops Schwartzman to reach Rogers Cup semifinals
The 36-year-old Swiss will next face unseeded Dutchman Robin Haase, a 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 victor over Diego Schwartzman of Argentina. Federer said he knows Haase well from serving with him on the ATP player council and from practicing together.

The marches were also condemned by Republican House Speaker Paul Ryan, who said "Let it only serve to unite Americans against this kind of vile bigotry".

Earlier, an hour after the commencement of the main march, which has attracted leading white nationalist figures such as David Duke and Richard Spencer, Trump tweeted "We ALL must be united & condemn all that hate stands for".

"We are in a very unsafe place right now", he said.

Virginia's governor has declared a state of emergency involving violent clashes between hundreds of protestors in Charlottesville, Va.

In televised remarks, Trump said he and his administration "condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry, and violence on many sides". We love our country.

But some of the white nationalists cited Trump's victory as validation for their beliefs, and Trump's critics pointed to the president's racially tinged rhetoric as exploiting the nation's festering racial tension.

Charlottesville Mayor Michael Signer said he was disgusted that the white nationalists had come to his town and blamed President Donald Trump for inflaming racial prejudices with his campaign past year.

First lady Melania Trump tweeted that "no good comes from violence".
