Bihar crisis: Tejashwi will not resign; 'Mahagatbandhan' unbreakable, says Lalu Prasad Yadav

"There is no question of his resignation", Lalu Prasad told the media here after holding a almost three-hour-long meeting with senior party leaders and legislators at his official residence.

The ruling alliance in Bihar has taken a hit after Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, deputy chief minister and Lalu Prasad's son, was booked in a graft case. However, the Chief Minister said that he and his party would not break the ruling Grand Alliance. The JD (U) spokespersons also countered RJD MLA Bhai Virendra's statement that RJD has 80 MLAs and "we will do what we want", saying that the alliance won due to the clean image of Nitish Kumar.

"It will be in his (Nitish) interest of his party and of course Bihar that he take a decision on his association at the earliest", Paswan told reporters here.

Last week, CBI had register and raided the residence of RJD leader Lalu Yadav and his Family members over charges of corruption and exploiting his position to acquire acres of land in Patna.

Lalu Prasad also refuted media reports that Congress President Sonia Gandhi had been requested to intervene to save the Nitish Kumar-led Grand Alliance government in the state.

In his post, (translated into English), Tejashwi Yadav says that he is dependent on the public, dedicated to development, has no love for honor, is not afraid of insults, holds interest of the public as his first priority, and has the poor as his crown.

Summary: "So he has to be present on both the days", Kumar said.Dressed in a bright Kurta, Lalu arrived at the court premises at 10.30 am.

He won the support of the Congress and the other opposition parties but Nitish Kumar remained silent on the matter. "He is constantly monitoring the situation in Bihar", a party leader said.

The CBI alleges Lalu had accepted a bribe in return for an IRCTC contract that he awarded to a hotel company.

Second, at the State level, though Mr. Kumar still has the support of the BJP's seniormost leader Sushil Modi, many BJP MLAs have not forgiven him for the way he away from the 17-year alliance in 2014.
