Liverpool fans welcome Mohamed Salah reports

Mohamed Salah's projected move to Liverpool has taken another turn after airline EgyptAir tweeted a message of thanks to the Roma winger for flying with them.

MOHAMED SALAH IS expected to complete his long-awaited transfer from Roma to Liverpool by Thursday as he travels to undergo a medical in England.

According reports in Europe on Tuesday, talks are ongoing, with Salah excited to play in the Premier League again after an unfulfilling spell at Chelsea.

The 25-year-old has been a prime target for manager Jurgen Klopp and could join for a fee which would eclipse the £35m the Reds paid for Andy Carroll in 2011.

Moreover, Goal's Melissa Reddy reported that the Reds have already agreed personal terms with the player and are close to agreeing a deal worth over $45million (inclusive of add-ons) with the Italian side as well.

Salah has been a long-term Liverpool target and he nearly moved to Anfield in January 2014 when Brendan Rodgers was manager.

After weeks of speculation, Liverpool have edged closer to the signing of Mo Salah.

After a season in Florence, Salah then moved on a temporary basis to Roma, before joining the Serie A giants on a permanent basis last summer, for around £13 million.

The Egyptian global was an influential player for the Giallorossi, with 15 goals and 11 assists in Serie A. With Sadio Mane injured, Liverpool lacked pace and nearly missed out on the Champions League as their season faded badly.

The versatile attacker will join Dominic Solanke as an incomer ahead of 2017-18, with the U20 World Cup victor swapping Chelsea for Liverpool.
