Cavs send Celtics to record loss, 130-86, lead series 2-0

BOSTON - The Cleveland Cavaliers are as hot as any team in postseason history, and a third straight trip to the NBA Finals appears to be a foregone conclusion. With Cleveland set to go up 2-0 in the series and heading back home for the next two games, Smith merrily let fans at Boston's TD Garden know that he foresaw a sweep. He added seven assists, four rebounds, four steals and three blocks in the win.

Kevin Love has also been almost unstoppable at times.

LeBron improved upon those numbers the following season when he averaged 33.6 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 4.0 assists during the Heat's 4-3 series win over the Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals. Instead the only mystery remaining at halftime was who would score their first basket of the game first, Al Horford or Isaiah Thomas.

Isaiah Thomas did not play in the second half due to a strained right hip, but the game was already beyond the point of return and Celtics coach Brad Stevens didn't feel his point guard's absence was enough of a factor to excuse the way his team played as a whole.

"It was our two big guys that set the tone - Kev and Double-T (Tristan Thompson), they were phenomenal", James said.

The Cavaliers now hold a 1-0 series lead and will look to take command of the series with a win tonight before the series shifts to Game 3 and Game 4 in Cleveland.

Offensively, the Cavaliers found their rhythm first and rode the momentum to a 9-2 advantage over the first four-plus minutes of the game thanks to the three-point shot.

James scored at least 30 points for a career-high eighth consecutive playoff game.

US output "increased again in February by almost 200,000 b/d, and at 9.03 million b/d was the highest since March previous year ". On Monday, Saudi Arabia and Russian Federation pledged to continue cutting supplies to prop up prices and stabilize the market.

But while the Cavs' defense was good, the offense was even better and the big three for Cleveland led the way as usual.

"This was a very important game for us and it was vital to get a great start and that means more than making great shots", said Irving.

Most of the damage in Game 1 was done by only two players - James and Love. The Celtics were 11 of 41 from the field. "And we when we went back to the locker room, our training staff and doctors got with him".

Boston heads to Cleveland for Game 3 on Sunday, with little hope for this series in sight.

Beating the Cavs on the road will be a whole different ball game, but Avery Bradley is ready to take on the challenge.

Minutes after the National Basketball Association announced the three finalists for the MVP award - and James wasn't among them - the Cavaliers star scored 30 points before resting in the fourth quarter. "Point blank, period", said Brown. They jumped to a 30-19 first-quarter lead in their 117-104 victory over the Celtics in Game 1 on Wednesday night. That said, the Monstars were also pretty top heavy with Pound and Bupkus dropping 71 of the team's 77 points, but we digress. "When LeBron's playing at that level, other guys just have to be solid and we have a good chance to win".

The sequence that might have perfectly encapsulated the night for Boston came in the closing seconds of the first half.
