Ariana Grande suspends tour following Manchester terror attack

Investigators hunted Tuesday for possible accomplices of the suicide bomber who attacked an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, killing 22 people and sparking a stampede of young concertgoers, some still wearing the American pop star's trademark kitten ears and holding pink balloons.

The Manchester concert was to be the first of three concerts in the UK.

Complex noted that in the past, ISIS has claimed responsibility for attacks to which the group had no connection.

Georgina Callander, 18, was the first victim to be identified in the media. But Western experts were sceptical, noting it had offered two accounts of the attack partly contradicting each other and the British police version.

"Fortunately there was no one killed on that particular occasion but there was an very bad lot of damage done to buildings and people injured", Mr Forde said.

'No matter how much we train our staff for incidents such as this, nothing can prepare you for the shock and sadness when tragedies like this occur.

Speaking after an emergency Cabinet meeting, British Prime Minister Theresa May condemned the attack as "callous" and "cowardly".

The Department of Foreign Affairs has said it is not aware of any Irish citizens affected by the Manchester terrorist attack but it is monitoring the situation.

Eight-year-old Saffie Rose Roussos from Leyland has been named as one of the victims killed, the Lancashire County Council confirmed.

"Saffie was simply a attractive little girl in every aspect of the word". Her mother, Charlotte Campbell, said the 15-year-old attended the concert with her best friend from school.

"All of our students will gather together today for a time of prayer and reflection and to give thanks for the life of Georgina", the school said.

"Ariana Grande had just finished the concert and the lights came on".

One source added that part of Mueller's investigation is expected to focus on obstruction of justice . Congressional investigators have requested copies of Comey's memos and testimony from Comey himself.

"I know I speak for everyone in expressing my deepest sympathy to all who have been affected by this terrible event and especially to the families and friends of those who have died or were injured".

Mr Forde added many in Manchester had been drawing comparisons between the latest terrorist attack and the bombing of the Arndale shopping centre by the Provisional IRA in June 1996.

Monday's bombing has raised concerns that a more sophisticated network may exist in the country than previously thought.

Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham, also took to Twitter to express his condolences.

After highlighting several pro-ISIS messages on Telegram celebrating the attack, Michael Smith, a terrorism analyst, concluded that the reaction by the online pro-ISIS network was a "strong indicator" of ISIS involvement in the attack. "This was an evil act", he said.

By comparison, the United States has suffered fewer than 10 deadly terrorist attacks, with fewer than 100 deaths, since the September 11, 2001 attacks. Security has also been boosted in London.

It was not clear Tuesday afternoon whether the tour would continue as scheduled.

A close friend said Callander passed away with her mother at her bedside in the hospital.

Eyewitnesses who called into BBC Manchester radio reported chaos and scenes of bleeding and screaming people fleeing the arena. She said her phone had not stopped ringing since her tweet.

"Her dad is actually in Manchester looking for her". "We've tried everything we can".

The local ambulance service said 59 people were taken to hospitals.
