United Airlines Changes Policy After Doctor Dragged Off Flight

United Airlines is changing its policy on giving staff last-minute seats on full flights after a man was dragged screaming from an overbooked plane. This is one of our initial steps in a review of our policies in order to deliver the best customer experience, ' CNN quoted United spokesperson Maggie Schmerin as saying.

Seth Kaplan, managing partner of the newsletter Airline Weekly, said that because carriers are allowed to overbook, they are able to fill flights even when some passengers don't show up.

Attorney Thomas Demetrio said Dr Dao would "probably" sue.

According to CNN, Dr. Daowas plans to file a lawsuit against the company.

Bayern faces tough task to beat Real Madrid at Bernabeu
The Madrid side could pay a high price for any similar slip-ups against Bayern, particularly with Lewandowski lurking. Last season saw Kassai referee the quarter-final second-leg showdown between Real Madrid and Wolfsburg (3-0).

All passengers on United Express flight 3411 will be compensated equal to the cost of their tickets and could take the compensation in cash, travel credits or miles, United said this week. One of them, David Dao, refused to give up his seat. Demetrio has said Dao lost teeth, suffered a concussion and a broken nose as airport police employed by Chicago removed him. Eventually, United's chief executive, Oscar Munoz, apologized for the whole fiasco and promised it wouldn't happen again, but by that point, no one really wanted to hear it.

Crystal Pepper says seeing her father removed from the Sunday flight was "exacerbated" by the fact it was caught on video and widely distributed. It's too soon to say what the verdict of this case might be, but United's approval ratings have taken a steep dip since this most recent incident. He also said that Dr Dao was "disruptive and belligerent".

The Airline Quality Report, which rates airlines on performance and customer service metrics, was released on April 10, just as news and videos of the United incident went viral. He also explained how he had to be on that flight because he had patients to see the next morning.

In a statement issued Thursday, United said the company will no longer ask law enforcement officers to remove passengers from flights "unless it is a matter of safety and security", and will review its training programs for employees.
