Trump family kicks off Easter egg roll

When Donald Trump supporters asked him to sign their baseball caps at the White House Easter Egg Roll, they might not have anticipated his reaction. He was accompanied by somebody dressed up in an Easter bunny costume.

However, Trump and his family took a moment today to complete a slightly more serious activity.

It's Easter Egg Roll at the White House!

"I just want to thank first lady Melania Tump", the president said in a speech at the event.

The children attending the event, some wearing red caps with Trump's campaign slogan "Make America Great Again" on them, took part in the race and egg hunt, decorated cookies, wrote thank-you letters to USA soldiers and participated in other fun activities.

He also joined kids at a crafts table, making greeting cards for US troops, while Melania Trump read Kathie Lee Gifford's book "Party Animals".

The event has been traditionally arranged by USA first ladies since 1878. "Think of it - 139", he said.

Patriots player crashes White House press briefing
Thank you to the President for hosting this honorary celebration and for supporting our team for as long as I can remember. The president praised the "culture dedicated to winning" that coach Bill Belichick created in the Patriots organization.

Even the Easter Bunny had his hand over his heart, only the "America First" president required a nudge from his better part to remind him of his civic duty.

"I've toured the White House before and got to do all the fun things when I was a kid, so this is for them", said Melanie.

But while his wife and 10-year-old son, Barron, placed their hands on their hearts as soon as the military band began playing, the leader of the free world was seen simply staring into space with both arms by his side.

A little rain didn't stop the White House from hosting the biggest event of the year.

The president also thanked Barron for attending the event before inviting the first lady to speak.

According to Politico, the White House also didn't touch base with its big music act, the Martin Family Circus (last year, Beyonce made a surprise visit and Idina Menzel performed), until about a month ago and actually nailed down their performance in recent days.
