Sean Spicer Apologizes After Comparing Syrian President to Adolf Hitler

White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer again addressed his comparison of Assad to Hitler apologizing for his statement which caused an global storm.

A few hours later, a contrite Spicer appeared on United States television to apologise for the comments, which coincided with the Jewish holiday of Passover.

The World Holocaust Remembrance Center Yad Vashem in Israel invited Spicer to view their website for clarification on what happened in history. "I mean, you know, and I hope people understand that we all make mistakes", he said.

It was Spicer's second apology in less than 24 hours.

Spicer has repeatedly apologized for his comments, telling CNN that he "mistakenly used an inappropriate and insensitive reference to the Holocaust, for which frankly there is no comparison".

The ADL offers similar programs on an array of topics to audiences of all ages and backgrounds.

Spicer seemed to be suggesting that chemical weapons are so bad that even Hitler wasn't willing to use them.

Mr. Matthews said Mr. Spicer was likely referring to the fact that the former German chancellor did not resort to using chemical weapons on the battlefield even when defeat was imminent.

Supreme Court wants Sahara's Aamby Valley property auctioned
The court also directed Roy to be personally present on April 28 when it will take up the matter for further hearing. A bench headed by justice Dipak Misra had said the court would auction the property to recover the amount.

Minutes later, Spicer delivered a garbled defense of his remarks in which he tried to differentiate between Hitler's actions and the gas attack on Syrian civilians last week.

Though Spicer says he let president down, he told Van Susteren that he had not spoken to President Trump about the incident, though it was reported that he had apologized to major Republican donor Sheldon Adelson.

Spicer stumbled when trying to clarify apparently forgetting the millions of Jewish people who died in gas chambers during the Holocaust.

Howard Stern says Sean Spicer is an uninformed "moron" for stating Adolf Hitler never used chemical weapons and believes his longtime friend President Donald Trump should show the door to the White House press secretary.

"In no way was I trying to lessen the horrendous nature of the Holocaust".

"It really is painful to myself to know that I did something like that". Spicer apologized on Tuesday for his remarks, which drew sharp condemnation.

"By coming to the defense of Sean Spicer and calling his comments valid, Rep. Kevin Cramer is complicit in this administration's record of Holocaust denial", Irwin said.
