The big weather story is the rain expected to move in throughout the day today and continue tonight with hit and miss showers tomorrow.

Next week looks more promising, as the high on Tuesday will be in the 68 and the high on Wednesday will be 72.

SATURDAY: Widespread rain showers and thunderstorms will be possible across Kentucky, with a cool high temperature of 55 degrees.

The weather service said a cold front expected to cross the state Saturday is driving the rain chances, and it might produce severe thunderstorms in places. Between a quarter and a half-inch of rain is possible. Northwest wind around 10 miles per hour, with gusts as high as 24 miles per hour.

Accuweather predicts high temperatures just over 70 degrees, and low temperatures between 45-50.
