Browns have zeroed in on choice with No. 1 draft pick

Though they too are looking for a quarterback, new general manager John Lynch and coach Kyle Shanahan are ready to get Garrett if the Browns pass, USA Today reported.

Ever since he was traded on March 10 from the Houston Texans to the Cleveland Browns, Osweiler has been stuck in a staredown between a bereft franchise and its future. Brown's phone is ringing with offers for the No. 1 pick but he seems content to keep it and take the player they want rather than dancing down the board and out of the top 10 for a second straight year.

As the NFL Draft approaches us in just nine days, we have discovered a game-plan that will help you prepare for the day's festivities. We really try to plan for the total haul.

Just when you think you've got a beat on the Browns' new analytically oriented front office, the powers-that-be say something to make you do a 180. The losing - and criticism about his play - took a toll.

"We feel really good about picking at one", he said, "and I'll leave it at that".

Haden, a two-time Pro Bowl cornerback, said he would be "super-excited" to see Garrett join the Browns' defense.

Pats celebrate Super Bowl win at White House
Devin McCourty, a team captain, agreed, telling Time magazine: "Basic reason for me is I don't feel accepted in the White House". In remarks Wednesday, Kraft discussed what 2016 meant to him and how this was the Patriots' "sweetest championship".

"You don't want to force it", Brown said of overspending just because a quarterback is needed.

He also added the Browns won't be in the business of "turning two picks into one" (i.e., giving up multiple picks to move up to a higher slot) but said that the Browns are positioned to pull off such a move "without impacting our draft much".

"What Cleveland's going to have to do now if they want Mitch Trubisky, I think they're going to have to hop over Buffalo", Breer said.

Despite holding the top pick in the NFL Draft Sashi Brown and Andrew Berry didn't want to show their hand Wednesday. With this years draft being dubbed a developmental year for quarterbacks the Browns are again plagued with the question, do we reach for a signal caller or do we take best player available.

The Browns worked out Trubisky and have spent a lot of time with him. "Bright, very competitive, brings a lunch box, blue-collar mentality to the position. I'm excited about having him here, because I feel like it's a new energy and, shoot, we need that". So in theory, why trade to No. 2 when a team could probably get the same player at No. 3 and not have to pat almost as much? The Jets have also reportedly held private workouts with all four of the top quarterback prospects - Trubisky, Clemson's Deshaun Watson, Notre Dame's DeShone Kizer and Texas Tech's Patrick Mahomes, but are reportedly "tantalized" by Trubisky.

Brown isn't feeling any more pressure to get this draft right, but he knows it's vital not to get it wrong. "That makes it hard in terms of projecting a number of college players to have success in the National Football League system".
