Advertisers flee 'The O'Reilly Factor' en masse

The moves follow news of settlements totaling about $13 million with women who accused O'Reilly of sexual harassment or inappropriate behavior.

CNN has worked to put pressure on the advertisers of Fox News' "O'Reilly Factor" while host Bill O'Reilly faces allegations of sexual harassment, but claims the ads are being pulled "organically".

Hyundai says it now has no ads on "The O'Reilly Factor", but it pulled spots on future episodes.

In a statement, Hyundai said it wanted to work with companies that "share our values of inclusion and diversity".

"In light of the disturbing allegations, we instructed our media buyer this morning to reallocate our ad dollars to other shows effective immediately", a spokesperson for Untuckit said. O'Reilly has a history of sexual harassment at Fox News and was famously sued by Andrea Mackris 8 years ago for an enormous amount of money, so it is hardly surprising other women have come forward.

Fox News has an anonymous hotline employees can use, however, there has been reported fear to call it due to the belief the company is monitoring their phones. "Fox News apparently doesn't get that basic concept".

The claims were exposed by a New York Times investigation that surfaced five sexual harassment cases that were made against the political commentator.

"We had advertising running on The O'Reilly Factor (we run on most major cable news shows) and it has been reassigned in the midst of this controversy", a spokeswoman said in a statement.

Lane said the last time she talked to Stephens was Saturday night and he told her he had quit his job and was moving out of state. Police picked up the trail in a chase that lasted 2 miles before Stephens took his own life, authorities said.

Lisa Bloom represents Wendy Walsh, a regular guest on Fox's 'The O'Reilly Factor, ' whose appearances dried up after she refused to go to O'Reilly's bedroom following a 2013 dinner in Los Angeles.

O'Reilly's nightly news show has consistently been Fox News's biggest ratings driver, pulling in nearly 4 million viewers a night.

The claims made against O'Reilly include one from a former on-air talent who said she was propositioned by the anchor and suffered recriminations and a loss of opportunities within Fox News after turning him down. Ailes has denied the charges.

It also arrived after another sexual harassment lawsuit hit Roger Ailes, the Fox News chairman who resigned previous year over mounting abuse allegations.

O'Reilly did not address the Times report on his show Monday night.

Walsh said she came forward because she was told by a Times reporter that numerous women who have accused O'Reilly of harassment are bound by gag orders. O'Reilly is also a best-selling author whose books have been adapted for television - a one-man, multimedia juggernaut and a star asset for the business associates and sponsors in his orbit.

Earlier this week, current Fox contributor Julie Roginsky filed another lawsuit against Ailes, Fox News and Bill Shine, the network's co-president, asserting that she faced retaliation for rebuffing Ailes's sexual advances and for refusing to disparage Carlson.
