An interesting point about "The Dark Tower" series is the various references and links to other works of his, including "Bag of Bones", "The Talisman", "Black House", "The Stand", "Insomnia", "The Eyes of the Dragon" and "Salem's Lot" among others.

This summer, the long-awaited adaptation of Stephen King's The Dark Tower will finally arrive in theaters, and despite only four months between now and the film's release, we still haven't seen much of it beyond a few photos. And there's also Idris Elba's Gunslinger Roland Deschain and the boy adventurer Jake, played by Tom Taylor.

Stephen King's The Dark Tower is the most ambitious and expansive story from one of the world's most celebrated authors. Someone, or something, is using the evil technology of the Great Old Ones to destroy it.
